Artists have to fight to hold themselves up in a world willing to push them down. This piece features my signature gradients in a meaningful way, using the colors to represent the "monster" and myself. I don't want to keep running from it anymore and so I am choosing to face it. There is so much that we are able to do and create, and many times we are afraid to do it because of this fear that it will not be good enough for the world. I know why I do what I do and I know I have to fight to give myself a voice.

We work, work, work and second guess and triple edit, just to make something that impresses someone else or just to get validation for something that you made. And if they don’t think our art is up to par, we try again. We create and create and create, until finally we find something that is worth sharing that we want to say to the world. We honed those skills. We find our voice. We can finally sit down and share that message to all those watching. We can finally show everyone that we have something to say.
