After a long struggle with rejecting religion and spirituality, I finally learned that I get to decide for myself what to believe. That I can choose what I feel is true. I learned for myself that we all have a universe within us. Look into the eyes of those around you, look into their souls, and see the universe within them as well.
Let this piece be a representation of the connection between you and all others around you. Allow yourself to feel a part of the whole universe along with everyone else on the planet.

This reliance on logic set me up to be blind to the truth. The truth—the real truth—is not found within a textbook or lab. It is not taught in a classroom. You cannot learn about the truth through study. The truth behind the universe—your truth—can be found within you.
Slowly, I came to realize this and I began to find my own truth. Even though I was raised in an Islamic household, I am not religious nor do I identify with any religion. I found my own spirituality, my own truth. I saw that within me is a universe. I learned that when you look into someone else’s eyes—when you look into their soul—you can see their universe, too.
